HSSP Architects are celebrating after scooping two LABC East Midlands Regional Awards 2023.
One of their architects, Richard Johnson, has been announced as the winner of the ‘Best Residential & Small Commercial Designer’, whilst The Gate, Waterside Village, their project with client, Solus Homes, has won ‘Best High Volume New Housing Development’.
Richard is very adept at being able to look at a house and transform it into a home through the addition of rooms, changes of room usage, bringing natural flow through the spaces, and bringing the outside in. His perseverance to achieve perfection for clients is legendary.
He has a natural flair for creative and imaginative designs which ooze practical solutions. A doggy shower room, a hidden secret pantry, ginormous media walls and skilfully carving up existing spaces are just some of the intricacies of his designs.
The Gate, a 64 luxury one- and two-bedroom apartment complex is phase two of Waterside Village, a forward-thinking gateway hub into Loughborough which has inspirationally transformed this end of the town.
A true innovative development that is exquisite to the eye and fuses the industrial look of yesteryear with high-end contemporary features and modern fundamentals. It is very much socially and environmentally aware, with sustainable credentials.
A strong community presence has been created through shared social spaces, excellent fitness facilities, and the stylish garden and BBQ areas. These encourage interaction between the residents and offer a healthy body and mind lifestyle in this wonderous canal side location.
By achieving these wins, we are now shortlisted finalists for the same categories for the Grand Finals in London on Friday 19 January 2024.
