A little bit of modern history was recently created at HSSP Architects. For 10 days, the team included current and former Part 1 year out placements from every year since 2020!
Katie and Cory from 2020, Lydia from 2021, Yaroslava from 2022 and Mala from 2023.
Katie stayed with us and has successfully completed the first year of her architectural apprenticeship winning first prize for The Leonard Design 5th Year Portfolio for the highest achieving 5th Year Portfolio for part-time studies along the way.
Cory and Lydia returned to university; completing their Part 2 and the first year of their Part 2 respectively. Both scooped awards with Cory being awarded first prize for the RIBA Silver Medal Nomination, Conservation & Design Prize Part 2, and Tectonics Prize. Lydia received an award for the dissertation that accompanied her stunning project ‘Redefining oneliness’ and she is now a proud ‘Master of Architecture Dissertation Prize Winner’. Cory has returned to HSSP, whilst Lydia was back for a summer placement.
The end of summer 2023 saw the end of Yaroslava’s year out placement and the start of Mala’s. Yaroslava is heading back to university to undertake her Part 2, whilst Mala is settling in well and is enjoying being part of the team.
