On one of the wettest and windiest days of the year, director James headed onto the golf course at Horsley Lodge Golf Club as part of the East Midlands Golf and Property Society Golf Day.
James enjoys a round of golf but does not get to play very often, so when dusting down his clubs, little did he know this would be the day he accomplished his first hole in one!!
He had chipped the ball in on the 11th hole so was having a fine day already. The swing for the 12th hole was from 136 yards – the wind and the rain were against him, yet the ball did not bounce and went straight in without touching the sides!!
And, his reward for achieving this fantastic feat…. to pick up the bar bill!!! Cheers!
He then went on to chip the ball in on the 13th hole too, so it really was a grand day out.
Despite getting soaked to the skin, the persistent rain did not wipe the grin from his face. Well done James.
