HSSP Architects have warmly welcomed Rebecca Haresceugh and James Keay to the team for their Part 1 year out placements. Both graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2024 and headed to the practice.

Rebecca descends from a line of engineers on both sides of her family and has always been creative herself. Wanting to apply these skills practically, architecture was the degree for her.

Away from the studio, her creativity flows into the kitchen too. She’s a real foody with a mean arsenal of dishes – samosa chaat, shallot dauphinoise and coffee cake to name a few – sound divine, so it’s round to Rebecca’s for dinner!

James heralds from a creative family too with graphic design and printing in his blood. Since a year 7 careers evening sparked his interest in becoming an architect, he has single mindedly pursued this goal.

Outside of work, you will find James taking a well-earned rest from renovating his new cottage with a few games of skittles or darts at the local pub. He will also head to the gym or take their gorgeous miniature dachshund, Maddie, on walks to keep fit.

It is great to have them as part of the HSSP team and we look forward to supporting their practical learning through the year.
