A privately owned independent nursing home set within a beautiful manor house and stunning grounds offers unrivalled care in a village location.

Being overwhelmed with enquiries for their renowned care, they engaged HSSP Architects to design a new building that would offer additional en-suite bedrooms, communal facilities for residents and amenities for visitors. This would sit subservient to the manor house yet be lavished with the same attention to detail bestowed upon it.

Dating from 1899, the site lent itself perfectly to emulate and re-establish a ‘working estate relationship’ of yesteryear between the manor house, formal courtyard, a stable block and manicured lawns.

The new u-shaped building has been designed to look like former stable buildings converted into accommodation, with varying ridge heights to break up its overall mass and bulk. Hosting 20 en-suite bedrooms, with the central wing also home to the lounges and dining areas, and the west wing containing ancillary facilities too.
