After a more than bumpy start to construction, we are thrilled to see the progress that has been made by the new contractor for the new Community Sports and Wellness Centre at Yateley United Football Club.

It is superb to see the foundations have been finished and works are now at floor level. The room outlines are taking shape, more bricks are on site ready to be laid and the formation of the building is really coming together.

Yateley United FC is a progressive club, and this new pavilion will modernise their offering for the club itself, as well as further strengthening their support of the health and wellbeing of the local community.

Designed by HSSP Architects, the inclusive sports pavilion has changing rooms and showers, with social facilities including a large events room and kitchen. It has the capacity to become a vaccination centre, host wellness seminars, slimming groups, cardiac groups, and numerous other intrinsic health-focused recovery groups.

A lovely sporting memories café to give visual stimuli for those with dementia to help them recall the happy memories of their own football playing days will be included.

This is a project that spans the generations and sits within the heart of the community for the community. It brings the club up to date and will future proof their operations for years to come. We very much look forward to following the building works.
