“Food glorious food…” and with pies being one of the nation’s favourite food choices, it is no wonder the glorious pie has its very own awards. HSSP Architects proudly returned as sponsor of the Pasty category this year for the British Pie Awards, with HSSP director, Nick Cooper, again invited to be one of the judges.

Our Ros attended the Awards Lunch on Friday 8 March 2024 where all shortlisted finalists and sponsors gathered to celebrate pies and partake in a delicious savoury pie lunch followed by a sweet pie for dessert. The winners were announced with Ros presenting the trophy to the winner of the Pasty category; ‘Chicken Bhaji Pasty’ made by Proper Cornish Ltd. In hot pursuit were finalists ‘The Phat Pasty Co Traditional Cornish Pasty’ made by Phat Pasty Co and the ‘Mughlai Chicken Pasty’ created by The Outdoor Pig Company.

Congratulations to all of the winners and the finalists, the competition is fiercely fought, and everyone should be justifiably proud of their achievements.
