Katie Searle joined us for her year out placement in September 2020 and as this whizzed by exceptionally quick, she decided to stay for a second year to gain even more insight and experience in practice. Having become a valued member of the team, we were naturally delighted with her decision to stay.
Subsequently, we were more than happy to support Katie’s request to undertake a much coveted architectural apprenticeship at The University of Nottingham, which she will begin at the start of the new 2022/23 academic year.
We have seen the programme and it is intense, but we know that she will excel over the next four years and achieve her dream of becoming an architect. Naturally, we are supporting her all the way, as there will be studying at the university and at home, balanced with studio and home working to fulfil all of the requirements of the Level 7 training programme.
She also has a dedicated HSSP mentor, Samantha, an RIBA Chartered Architect who will be on hand to guide, encourage and be a sounding platform for Katie’s ideas, research, learning and project creations.
We wish Katie great success with her apprenticeship and that she enjoys following this alternative pathway to metamorphosing into an architect.
