One day, our Finance & Business Manager, Ros, received an email from the Parent and Teachers Friends Association (PTFA) of Catmose Primary School in Oakham which included a fabulous picture of one of the school children excitedly licking an ice cream cone on a lovely sunny day with their eyes shut. It really does bring a smile to ones face.

Ros looked a little further at it and realised she knew the child who had grown since she last saw them in January and spoke to their very proud dad.

The PTFA were seeking a prize for their after School Sports Day raffle which raises revenue to pay for school events including disco’s, educational visits and a visit from Santa bearing a gift for every child.

As part of HSSP’s portfolio of projects, we design sports, leisure and recreation facilities for schools and educational groups around the UK, so knowing how important these are to the health and development of children and their wellbeing, we were happy to donate a raffle prize.

In keeping with the sporting theme, vouchers for a sporting retail group were purchased, which we are sure will be put to good use by a parent/guardian when shopping for the next set of school or recreational sports wear!

Wishing all pupils, teachers, parents and guardians a really fun sports day – let’s hope the sun shines.
