James Keay

James graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2024 and joined HSSP Architects for his placement year.

A year 7 careers evening ignited his interest in pursuing architecture as a profession. Having an artistic background with graphic design and printing running through his family, he always enjoyed creating and making stuff, especially playing video games. He has been single minded to pursue his goal, with all his school subject selections tailored to becoming an architect.

James has been busily settling into his new cottage the last few months, which has meant lots of redecorating and interior design to turn it into a cosy pad. He enjoys skittles and darts at the local pub, and heads to the gym and takes their gorgeous miniature dachshund, Maddie, on walks to keep fit.
