We are delighted to hear that the Green Apple Awards have announced that HSSP Architects and our client Solus Homes have won an award for the Beautiful Buildings category for Waterside Village, Loughborough.

The Beautiful Buildings Awards are part of The International Green Apple Environment Awards for Building and Construction that celebrate buildings and structures which have a positive impact on the built environment, either with their appearance and/or their ‘green’ benefits including restoration, recycled materials, low energy, etc.

Waterside Village is a fabulous example of exemplary urban regeneration which has brought untold benefits to the local community, offers a healthy way of life with residents’ wellbeing at the heart of the development’s ethos, and has sustainable credentials.

From retention and repair of the original chimney, to creating an exquisite new skyline from the placement of the red and black bricks, through to rescuing and reclaiming historical features and skilfully replicating these in the two modern apartment complexes, every attention to detail has been lavished on the development with the interiors creatively designed by BARK Design Studios.
